NDT TESTING METHODS
Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Uses X-rays or gamma rays to penetrate materials and create internal structure images.
- Ideal for volumetric inspection.
Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Utilizes high-frequency sound waves to detect defects.
- Measures sound reflection from conditions within the test article.
Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Reveals surface-breaking defects by applying a liquid penetrant and using developer to visualize them.
Magnetic Testing (MT)
- Detects surface and near-surface defects in ferromagnetic materials.
- Involves applying magnetic particles and observing their behavior.
Virtual Testing (VT)
